The Netherlands Research School of Genderstudies (NOG) would like to invite you for the annual National Research Day dedicated to the cutting edge work of junior researchers of Dutch universities in the field of Gender, Ethnicity, Sexuality and Diversity. This year the National Research Day is called ‘Doing Gender in the Netherlands: Taking Turns in Feminist Theory’ and will be hosted by our colleagues of the Centre for Gender and Diversity at Maastricht University.

The Call for Papers is now closed.

However, you can still register yourself as a listener by sending an email to NOG @uu.nl before March 22. To organize this National Research Day we ask for a contribution of €15,- from every participant for tea, coffee, lunch and drinks, to be paid at the registration desk on the day.

The day will be opened by NOG director Professor Rosemarie Buikema. The major part of the day will be dedicated to paper presentations. After the lunch break we will schedule a plenary state of the art lecture by NOG affiliated Erasmus Mundus scholar Associate Professor Vicki Kirby (University of New South Wales, Australia) and the closing remarks will be made by Dr. Stefan Dudink.

Depending on the PhD paper proposals thematic sessions will be formed, either plenary or paralleled depending on the number of accepted papers. Paper participants prepare a presentation of 10 minutes to allow for plenary discussion and questions.
