We’ve received the sad news that Sandra Gnjatović passed away. Sandra started her research master Gender and Ethnicity at Utrecht University in September 2014. Sandra was very passionate about artistic practices as her bachelor from the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague shows. From 2014-2016 she was one of the initiators of W139, a contemporary art space in Amsterdam where she curated 2 successful exhibitions: Shifting Spaces (2016) and Timeless Gentle Flights (2014). It’s immensely sad to see that she couldn’t overcome the struggles in her life. We’ll remember Sandra as a cherished member of the Gender Studies community with a true passion for art and commitment to create artistic, activist spaces.
