Radboud Gender & Diversity Studies offers interdisciplinary courses that students register for in increasing numbers. Our courses are taught by lecturers from different faculties, some of them are also involved in the development of our Master’s programme Intersectional Gender Studies (IGS). Gender Studies at Radboud University continues to be an interfaculty endeavour.
We will celebrate 40 years of Gender Studies at the Radboud University on Friday October 3rd, and we cordially invite you to join us. During this day, you can:
- listen to a key note by prof. Halleh Ghorashi
- engage in panel discussions on, for instance, the development of teaching critical content, gender studies in the current political climate, and feminist leadership
- visit two exhibitions on local and national women’s movements
- re/connect with (former) colleagues, teachers and students.
We will look back and cherish our accomplishments, but our main focus will be on the future of Intersectional Gender Studies. What is needed to safeguard Intersectional Gender Studies in a political climate that is hostile to our work? How do we support the renewed interest in feminism and in Intersectional Gender Studies among a younger generation? What topics need extra attention or a different approach? We would like to draw on your expertise and vision, and your input is highly appreciated.
