hristin Hoene is Assistant Professor in Literary Studies at the Department for Literature and Arts at Maastricht University. Her current work focuses on the intersections of postcolonial studies and sound studies. She is also currently working on a research project on the topic of queer joy, based on interviews with LGBTQ+ people living in and around Maastricht, and in collaboration with COC Limburg. Christin has published on music in postcolonial and contemporary literature, the Bengali polymath Jagadis Chandra Bose, the colonial politics of science and science fiction, and, most recently, she has co-edited an anthology of creative non-fiction that features stories by colleagues at UM’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences about their research.
