In this talk on May 7, 2026 Ren Loren Britton will share their ongoing artistic indexing project called “Indexing for Disability Justice.” They will share an essay they are writing that works on tracing agency, via a few stories and hir-stories from the index.
These artifacts speak of technical trans*crip pasts that enable other interdependencies and priorities for community connection and technical making today. They will speak about their practice as a research based artist-designer and speak about the politics and practices that make their work and worlding possible.

Ren Loren Britton is a trans-disciplinary artist-designer dancing with trans*feminism, technosciences, radical pedagogy and disability justice. They make multi sensorial media installations. Trans*ness in their practice considers what would be needed so that —pleasure for all— would be possible. They attend to plural hir- his- her- stories and presents of social and technical infrastructures making lives accessible and possible.

This talk is organized by Meet the Makers (hosted by the UU Creative Humanities Academy) and supported by the Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies.
