Nancy K. Miller is professor of English, French and Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center, CUNY. She worked on a project about the experience of girls and young women in the American 1950s, about private life and middlebrow culture; also a project on the nature of extreme experience and its recording in testimony and other documents. Continuing interests include questions of autobiography and memoir, feminist theory, women’s writing, trauma and testimony.
